Here is a quick FAQ that may help you answer some questions you have about the league. For official rules & regulations, Click here.

What are the requirements to join the league?

The only formal requirement to be eligible to play in the league is that you are a member of the !!35 & Below!! group on Halocharts. Any requirements to join the group are therefore requirements for this league. For information on how to join the group, visit the groups page on Halocharts or contact Boss Vos.

There are NO requirements with regard to skill or availability. Everyone who is a member of the 35 & Below group is welcome to join the league.

Why do you use MLG maps and settings?

This league was created to satisfy the needs of the more competitive members of 35 & Below. Since MLG is the standard when it comes to competitive, fast-paced, team-oriented Halo, we decided to go with them. However, please do not misinterpret our intentions. The league was primarily organized to set up fun, balanced matches in a semi-competitive environment for group members. Sportsmanship is encouraged from all league members. Trash-talking, teabagging, flaming, network manipulation, and like behavior is not allowed.

Damage Inc NH summed it up pretty well on the forums:

"I have to say that I much prefer the no radar and in general the MLG settings with limited weapon layouts and the extra speed. It changes the style of play to emphasize team work and map awareness as you have to have your teammates calling out where the other team is, you can't rely on radar for that edge. The other thing that I want to bring out here is that I come here for the MLG style because it's difficult to find elsewhere. Yes, there is an MLG playlist - where I can go and get stomped by teams of 5th account generals at skill 5. I also love the MLG objective games, esp. KOTH and Team Oddball. Can't get those anywhere but the MLG playlist, customs or here. For the more 'normal' halo experience, there are many, many playlists where I can get that fix - from BTB, Squad, Social slayer, skirmish, etc. All or most where I can have a reasonable experience night in and night out. So, the league for me brings a new dimension to my halo experience and balances out MM for me."

Also, we don't only use MLG maps. We are constantly playtesting new maps and gametypes for introduction into the league. If you have a custom map that you would like us to try out we would love to take a look at it.

I can only play an hour or two per week, should I even bother signing up?

YES! Game times change every week, you never know when you may get a chance to play. Each team has 3 sub slots on their roster so you won't be a burden on anyone or be taking anyone's spot.

What time are the games?

Game times change every week. Due to work and school schedules, most games are played on the weekend. Each week, the opposing captains get together and come up with a game time that best suits everyone.

How come there are people with skill above 35 in the league?

Members of the 35 & Below group who achieve a highest skill of 40 or above are not forced to leave the group, rather they are dubbed "Graduates". They are ineligible for certain aspects of the group, but their inclusion into the league was necessary in order to get the league off the ground. We understand the inequity this may cause for the lower ranks.

As a response to the growing interest in the league by Halocharts members of all ranks, we are currently considering a 2nd tier to the league, for people ranked 35 & Above. However, this will only be possible if we have the numbers to sustain it. We will keep you posted as things develop.

What is KDAR?

KDAR is your kill spread per game, plus one half of your assists per game: (KPG - DPG) + (0.5 x APG). We feel it paints a better picture of a player's true value, as it accounts for assists and it is based per game rather than per death.
